- Grandfather Medicine Ceremony
August 21, 2020 - August 22, 2020
7:00 pm - 9:00 am
This Ceremony will be facilitated by a wonderful Ute Elder and Roadman, Nathan Strong Elk.
Many other Medicine People will be in attendance to support.
We will be setting the date for this Ceremony for a future date, once it is safe to do so.
In the state of Utah, all participants must be a member of ONAC, Topateyah or another recognized NAC, or members of a federally recognized tribe in order to participate in this Ceremony.
Reach out to us in order to become a member of the Topateyah if you are not yet a member.
The event will be a traditional Ceremony in the tipi, thus we will limit attendance to the number that can safely and comfortably fit within our 28′ tipi (normally around 35 single row participants).
*Note that we do not charge for Ceremony and that all contributions are suggested. If you cannot contribute because of a financial hardship, please reach out to us so we can make other arrangements and support you in raising the funds. These funds support our costs for travel, medicine, supplies, Sacred Meal, etc., as well as support the Medicine People.
Venue: Utah's West Desert
Details and driving directions will be provided prior to event. All out-of-town guests will fly into SLC International airport Friday evening August 14th.
Those driving will meet us in SLC and we will drive out to the location together in the morning on Saturday August 15th.
