Grandfather Medicine Ceremony
Event Phone: 5104701358
- December 26, 2020 - December 27, 2020
6:00 pm - 10:00 am
This Ceremony will be facilitated by NAC Elders, and many other Medicine People will be in attendance to support.
We will be holding this Ceremony in such a way as to assure safe and proper social distancing and to protect everyone, while also coming together in connection with the Plant Medicine Sacrament.
Weather permitting, the event will be a combination of traditional Hopi-style Ceremony outside around the fire, along with time in a large open meeting space. Thus we will limit attendance to the number that can safely and comfortably come together in such a space.
We will come together in the early evening to communicate/share our intentions for the Ceremony with one another and have a light meal together prior to Ceremony.
We will then begin the Ceremony and take the Medicine. The Ceremonial Journey with the Medicine will last 6-10 hours, depending on the size of the group and what manifests during Ceremony.
We will then again gather for a light meal and sharing before departing.
We like to have some understanding of who you are and why you are choosing to attend Ceremony before the event, and so we ask that every person attending will communicate with us before-hand.
Because of COVID-19, we must insist that anyone who has a fever or any cold/flu-like symptoms not attend. If you have made a contribution and become ill, we will make arrangements for you to attend our next Ceremony, or other event.
**Please note, that while we do have a suggested donation, mostly to cover the cost of Medicine and our expenses, we do not charge for Ceremony and all contributions are thus suggested, based on what we pay for Medicine.
If you cannot contribute because of a financial hardship, please reach out to us so we can make other arrangements and support you in raising the funds.
These funds support our costs for travel, medicine, supplies, Sacred Meal, etc., as well as support the Medicine People.
